ODVA Conformance Test Software
ODVA’s Conformance Test Software is the same software used by ODVA to verify compliance of your product with major parts of ODVA network specifications. ODVA offers a CT suite for each network that allows you to find problems during the development process before you submit your product to ODVA for conformance testing. A subscription to this software is required by ODVA before you can submit your product for conformance testing for compliance with ODVA network specifications.
ODVA Protocol Conformance Test Suites are available for each of the following technologies:
- EtherNet/IP: CT20-EN, Released Oct. 11, 2023
- DeviceNet: CT31.2, Released Oct. 11, 2023
- CIP Safety on EtherNet/IP: CT20-ES, Released Oct. 11, 2023
- CIP Safety on DeviceNet: CT30-DS, Released Dec. 18, 2018
- CIP Safety on SERCOS (devices only) (contact ODVA for release details)
- CompoNet (contact ODVA for release details)
ODVA provides a 30-day grace period from the date of CT release during which vendors may order a conformance test with the prior released version. To help vendors balance the transition within their development and self-testing cycles with current and future CT releases, vendors may order and schedule their test services three months in advance to optimize opportunities for flexibility. As long as ODVA has an order for a test prior to the release of a CT, the vendor may then choose to whether to test their product to the current or prior CT release. The scheduled testing date may then be adjusted if needed, as long as the test is run no later than six months after the date of the original order.
