Process Device Profiles enable EtherNet/IP level, temperature, flow, and pressure device interchangeability across vendors, giving end users confidence that devices sharing the same profile can be seamlessly swapped.

To take advantage of this cross-vendor device replacement capability, vendor-neutral EDS files are available for each Process Device Profile.
