Software Terms

The ODVA Conformance Test Software is obtained through a subscription, which entitles the Buyer to updates to the specific software for one (1) year. The current Composite Test (CT) version of the software is distributed via email. The right to use the software to design, manufacture, or sell products incorporating all or any part of the Specifications is subject to the terms and conditions of the Terms of Usage Agreement. The software is intended for use by companies/developers interested in self-testing their product prior to having the test performed by ODVA’s Test Service Providers; therefore, the Buyer must have a current subscription to the specification for the network software the Buyer is purchasing. The software may be installed on one (1) computer; one (1) backup copy may also be made. The software is intended for use as a complement to the Buyer’s own testing. It does not guarantee product conformance to the relevant Specification.

Site licenses are available for all of ODVA’s specifications to allow Licensed Vendors to share the publication with multiple users who are employees and on-site contracted individuals performing typical employee functions on a contract basis. If access to these files if given to contractors, the Licensed Vendor must ensure that the contractors can fulfill the obligations of the Licensed Vendor’s Terms of Usage Agreement for the ODVA technology.

The right to use the Specifications to design, manufacture, or sell products incorporating all or any part of the Specifications is subject to the terms and conditions of the Terms of Usage Agreement.
