ODVA's conformance tests are upgraded on an ongoing basis for the following reasons:
- To increase the percentage of the specification covered by the test
- To add tests for new functionality incorporated into the specifications through the member specification enhancement process
- To improve the quality of the test results.
ODVA tracks upgrades to its conformance tests by a Composite Test Level (CTL). ODVA reports the CTL at which the conformance test was conducted for each product that has received a Declaration of Conformity from ODVA—see Declarations of Conformity.
