The EtherNet/IP conformance-tested 1761-NET-ENIW Web Enabled Ethernet Interface (ENIW) provides a cost-effective way to network MicroLogix™ and CompactLogix™ controllers, and many other DF1 full duplex devices via Ethernet. The ENIW provides all features of the 1761-NET-ENI, and also provides fixed format user configurable web-pages allowing read/write access to the connected controller via the worldwide web. Like the ENI, the ENIW allows any computer on the Ethernet network to access the connected controller, providing the entire engineering/ manufacturing staff with access to controller data. Mainframe computers can query ENIW-connected controllers for data each night and formulate daily production reports. Maintenance personnel benefit from program upload, download, and monitoring capabilities, as well as an email feature that allows an ASCII string to be sent to any email address. Email message content might include production data, alarms, or other status information, and can be sent to any computer, cell phone, or pager capable of receiving an email message.
