1738-AENTR Armor POINT I/O™ Dual Port EtherNet/IP Adapter

The 1738-AENTR adapter extends the value of a Logix Architecture using the ArmorPOINT I/O family Logix functions and features. The 1738-AENTR supports CIP messaging, enabling writing and reading of I/O module parameters online. This adapter transmits at 10/100 MB on EtherNet/IP networks, delivering a distributed I/O solution in a system requiring speed and repeatability. A comprehensive range of diagnostics is included. For a rack connection, a table of two double words is provided to monitor the fault status for each module. Each bit corresponds to one of the 63 I/O modules on the backplane. For a direct connection, the fault status for the connection is displayed in the input fault tag.

The 1738-AENTR adapter supports multiple owners for input modules, halping y achieve higher productivity due to increased speed. The adapter helps reduce the cost of redundant I/O and field devices, and improves the system by insuring that the same source of data is used by multiple processors in the system.

The 1738-AENTR includes embedded switch technology, allowing for more flexible EtherNet/IP architecture options, with the ability to do ring and linear topologies.
