The 1768-EWEB CompactLogix EtherNet/IP Enhanced Web Module provides EtherNet/IP connectivity and offers a suite of Web capabilities to the CompactLogix L4x platform. This product enables users to view plant-floor data (read and write access) via Web pages, receive email or pager-based alarm notifications, and transmit information to external software applications using Extensible Markup Language (XML) data. In addition, the EWEB product supports socket connectivity allowing the controller to exchange data with other non-EtherNet/IP devices. The module supports the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) technology, allowing it to seamlessly bridge and route data to and from other CIP networks.
