Bus Extender

WRC's WRC-CANX-DIN and WRC-CANX-NEMA CAN and the new fiber-optic version, WRC-CANR-NEMA Can Bus Extenders extend CAN Bus networks such as DeviceNet where cable length is determined by network data rates. WRC's Bus Extenders allow a user to extend either the trunk lines and drop line without sacrificing network speed. WRC-CANX and WRC-CANR do not consume a MAC ID and it is not necessary for software to consider any set-up of these devices.

Features Include:

  • Isolated network extender
  • Automatic speed selection or fixed baud rate
  • No address selection required
  • Multiple extenders can be used in serial, daisy-chain fashion with fixed baud rates
  • Powered from 24 VDC supplied by DeviceNet or by the user (on each side of the repeater)
