The BridgeWay PROFIBUS to DeviceNet Gateway enables the monitoring and control of devices on a DeviceNet network from a PROFIBUS-DP Master device. The gateway appears as a slave to a PROFIBUS-DP Master, allowing the PROFIBUS-DP Master to read or write data from up to 63 DeviceNet Slave devices. The gateway's DeviceNet functionality includes full DeviceNet Master and I/O Scanner capability, complete with Automatic Device Replacement (ADR) feature. ADR allows the gateway to automatically restore the MAC ID and configuration data to a device, once a failed device has been replaced on the DeviceNet network. The gateway can also be configured as a DeviceNet Slave. Configuration of the gateway is simple using Rockwell Software's RSNetWorx for DeviceNet or HMS' NetTool-DN-D.
