1757-FFLDC2, 1757-FFLDC4 - Foundation Fieldbus Linking Device for ControlNet
The Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley ControlNet to Foundation Fieldbus Linking Device adds Foundation Fieldbus H1 interface to ControlNet-based control system.
ControlNet FOUNDATION Fieldbus Linking Device bridges from the ControlNet network to either two or four H1 ports. Each H1 port can support the recommended maximum 8…10 devices. Each H1 network can support a maximum of 64 publisher and 64 subscriber VCR connections. The linking device enables RSFieldbus host communication to the H1 ports via Fieldbus Foundation's High-speed Ethernet (HSE) encapsulated on the ControlNet network. By supporting H1 and ControlNet protocols, the linking device is capable of bridging Rockwell Automation products on the ControlNet network to Foundation Fieldbus products on H1 networks.
This device allows you to easily connect Foundation Fieldbus devices to your manufacturing automation system while capitalizing on ControlNet's deterministic, repeatable nature.
Features Include:
- Redundant ControlNet interface. Allows systems with redundant ControlLogix controllers and redundant ControlNet media to communicate with Foundation Fieldbus H1 process instrumentation.
- Two or four H1 segments fieldbus interfaces per Linking Device
- Link active scheduler, set up storage, auto recovery from power outage or brown-out, segment management including address/tag assignment, time publishing, and tag query
- ControlNet Network AccessPort (NAP)
