A new Rockwell Automation backup system takes advantage of ControlNet network technology to offer users more backup options. Like other backup systems, the ControlNet PLC-5 backup system heightens system up-time in power, refining, chemical, mining and other applications where unexpected shutdowns can be costly and potentially hazardous. Yet the Rockwell Automation system offers users greater choice in the manner in which backup is performed. Two ControlNet Backup modules are required for the backup system; one is placed in the primary and a second in the secondary system.
