ControlNet to DeviceNet Linking Device
The Allen-Bradley ControlNet to DeviceNet Linking Device from Rockwell Automation allows you to seamlessly integrate your Control and Automation level networks with your Device level networks.
One side of the linking device is a DeviceNet Scanner with the capacity to handle 496 bytes input words and 492bytes output words of data from DeviceNet compliant devices such as sensors, drives, I/O blocks, pneumatic valves, etc. Meanwhile, the other side is a ControlNet adapter with redundant communications and a network access port.
This device is beneficial because you can:
- Control. A scanner class device on ControlNet, such as a PLC, DCS, PC based control system, or a robot controller, can control, in real time, a device connected to the DeviceNet network via the linking device.
- Configure. Using RSNetWorx™ for DeviceNet, running on a PC on ControlNet, you can configure your drives, sensors, I/O blocks -- in fact any device on DeviceNet via the linking device.
- Collect. With RSView® or a HMI on ControlNet, data can be collected from any of the devices on DeviceNet for display, trending, monitoring, etc. via the linking device.
Features Include:
- DIN rail or panel mounting
- 24V dc
- Network and module status LEDs
- Rotary switches for baud rate and node address
- Full DeviceNet scanner functionality, ex, ADR supports internet to DeviceNet communication or internet to factory floor communication
- ControlNet network Access Port (NAP)
- Configured using RSNetWorx for DeviceNet and RSNetWorx for ControlNet
