CompactLogix™ ControlNet Interface
The 1768-CNB and 1768-CNBR ControlNet Bridge Modules provide the CompactLogix platform with ControlNet connectivity. These modules require a CompactLogix L4x processor for power and can be used to control I/O or perform peer-to-peer interlocking for high-performance transfer of critical data.
Combined with other CompactLogix Communication options, these ControlNet interfaces allow for bridging and routing among all of Rockwell Automation's NetLinx networks (via EtherNet/IP and ControlNet 1768 Bridge modules and the 1769 DeviceNet Scanner Device). Seamless bridging and routing of the NetLinx networks eliminates the need for routing tables or additional controller programming.
Features Include:
- Direct bridging between ControlNet and other NetLinx networks
- Optional media redundancy (dual BNC) available (1768-CNBR)
- Module powered directly from the ControlLogix backplane
- Compatible with Rockwell Software RSNetWorx™ for ControlNet
- Supports ControlNet peer-to-peer, scheduled, and unscheduled messaging
- UL/CSA/CE
