Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA – April 15, 2010 – ODVA announced today that it has launched its 2010 series of introductory seminars and training courses on EtherNet/IP, the industrial Ethernet technology managed by ODVA. These events are a valuable resource for end users, OEMs, and product manufacturers in their investigation of industrial Ethernet technologies, providing an intensive amount of technical details and business considerations in a compact, one-day event.
“EtherNet/IP’s reliance on standard Ethernet and TCP/IP technologies, and its ability to mix safety, synchronization, motion, and control on one seamless network, has made it the world’s most installed industrial Ethernet network,” said Katherine Voss, Executive Director of ODVA. “With this series of seminars, ODVA will provide potential users and vendors with the basic knowledge they need to critically evaluate how EtherNet/IP is the right investment for decades to come.”
Free for attendees, ODVA’s introductory seminar, “EtherNet/IP: Proven and Complete,” will be offered in the following locations:
- 17 May 2010: Kolding, Denmark (Hotel Koldingfjord)
- 19 May 2010: Copenhagen, Denmark (Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers)
- July 2010: Minneapolis, MN, USA
- September 2010: Detroit, MI, USA
- October 2010: Frankfurt, Germany
- November 2010: Dallas, TX, USA
In addition, ODVA’s “EtherNet/IP Quick Start” training course helps developers accelerate their know-how to get started with EtherNet/IP product development. The one-day training covers considerations of product functionality, implementation approaches, product design, and testing, plus gives an in-depth review of The EtherNet/IP Specification. The next scheduled “EtherNet/IP Quick Start” courses will be held:
- June 2010: Paris, France
- September 2010: Ann Arbor, MI, USA
Related events will be offered in China and Japan in 2010 as well.
